This is an attractive Late 19th c. Georgian style hall table/side table, of useful small size. The figured mahogany bow-fronted top, which is crossbanded and inlaid with ebony stringing, lies over a single bow-fronted frieze drawer (complete with original brass ring handles) and slender square tapering legs.
The table is in good overall condition. There is no evidence of warping. There are one or two old patch repairs to the veneers (which are only visible under close scrutiny ) and an old shrinkage crack in the pine-lined drawer, which has been repaired in the past.
These are consistent with age and usage and represent a reassuring sign of authenticity, forming part of the charm and character of an antique piece that is over a hundred years old.
Any minor imperfections are mentioned only in the interests of accuracy and do not detract from the appearance, quality or investment value of the piece, which is in very good overall condition.
