This is an attractive
mid 19thc tripod table
in solid mahogany. The
rectangular tilt top
lies over a baluster
turned pedestal and
splayed tripod base.
The tripod table is in
good original condition
with no breaks or
repairs anywhere, no
warping and no evidence
of woodworm, old or
new. The runners and
brass catch underneath
are original. It is
rare to find a piece in
such original colour and
condition.
Altogether an elegant
and useful small
occasional table that
could be used as a lamp
table or wine table. It
is designed to
be stored out of the
way, with the top
upright, if required.
