This is an attractive early Victorian occasional table in solid rosewood. This figured rosewood is particularly good quality incorporating the much prized intricate black graining that characterizes rosewood which is probably Brazilian, as opposed to the lesser quality straight grained African rosewood.
The circular top lies over a slender baluster turned pedestal and a scrolling tripod base, all in the attractive figured rosewood.
The table is in very good condition with no cracks or breaks. The top has not suffered from warping and there is no evidence of woodworm, old or new. The entire table has a good depth of colour and rich glowing patina.
Overall, this is an elegant and sought after table that would make an ideal lamp table/ wine table in excellent condition
